Our Story
Located within the iconic Rendezvous Hotel Singapore, Straits Café presents a scrumptious buffet spread of regional fare featuring the Favourites of the Straits. Drawing flavours from Penang, Melaka, Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and more, Straits Café aims to be the destination for Straits delights.
Guests can expect to savour favourites of the Straits including KL Prawn Noodles, Klang Chic Kut Teh, Ipoh Chicken Rice made using quality ingredients. Also not to be missed is the Seafood Sambal Live Station, available from Fridays to Sundays, where chefs cook up a wide selection of fresh seafood and greens a la minute.
Our Cuisine
The food at Straits Cafe aims to bring favourites from Penang, Ipoh, Melaka, Kuala Lumpur and more into one location. Guests can tuck into quality creations of favourites from the Straits Settlement such as KL Prawn Noodles, Klang Chic Kut Teh, KL Fried Fat Hokkien Noodles, Penang Fried Carrot Cake, Ipoh Chicken Rice and more. On Fridays to Sundays, guest can watch chefs fry up their favourite seafood and greens with the Seafood Sambal Live Station. Food hunters won’t need their passports or rack up a high petrol bill to enjoy a variety of Straits cuisines.
Durian lovers will be delighted with the dessert spread of Durian Pengat Shooters, Durian Mousse Cake, Durian Puffs and Durian Crepe offered at Straits Cafe. Guests with a sweet tooth can also indulge in a selection of mini pastries, cakes, jellies and Nonya desserts such as Eclairs, Pecan Tart, Caramelized Cheese Cake, Chocolate Fudge Cake, Lemongrass Jelly and more.
